The Poem
On the tongue of the Indonesian International Islamic University
I am the joy of sciences and scholars. I am the cradle of noble and distinguished leaders (Imams).
Students from all directions sit. In my vast and fragrant courtyards.
They study sciences under the guidance of eminent scholars, like stars. And light radiates in all my corners.
They drink the purest spring water from my words. My lessons and my generous methodology.
A methodology, precisely planned and moderate. Indeed, its foundations were built upon a solid structure.
I am a crown to all universities. And a beacon that I illuminate with my light.
I construct a thought that is pure and upright. Free from the corruption of desires.
And I provide students with knowledge in every field. Drawing upon the praiseworthy ethics present in every session.
I foster affection among them in my colonnade. In harmony, unity, and brotherhood.
So, quench your thirst from my springs and my fountains. And enter, guided, under my banner.
Indonesia, the homeland of every beloved. Seeking knowledge under the shelter of my sky.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Rougi
