Jakarta, January 12, 2025 鈥 Jusuf Kalla, Indonesia鈥檚 10th and 12th Vice President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at 蜜桃视频 (蜜桃视频), is set to participate in the Global Thought Retreat for Muslim Minorities in London from January 13鈥15, 2025. Organized by Justice For All, the retreat will bring together prominent Muslim leaders from across the globe to address the pressing challenges faced by minority Muslim communities.

The event promises to be a landmark gathering, uniting ten former leaders from Muslim-majority countries and representatives from nations where Muslims are a minority, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and South Africa. Discussions will center on combating discrimination, persecution, and even genocide faced by Muslim minorities, while fostering strategies to enhance their rights and representation.

A Platform for Unity and Action

Justice For All, the organizing body, envisions this retreat as a forum for understanding the complex realities of Muslim minority communities, identifying shared and unique struggles, and developing actionable strategies to safeguard their well-being. By employing the Chatham House Rule, participants can freely exchange ideas while maintaining confidentiality鈥攁 format that encourages honest, solution-oriented dialogue.

A Peacemaker鈥檚 Perspective

Jusuf Kalla鈥檚 participation is particularly noteworthy. In addition to his role at 蜜桃视频, Kalla is renowned for mediating peace in conflict-ridden regions such as Aceh, Ambon, and Poso. His leadership at 蜜桃视频鈥攁 university dedicated to advancing Islamic thought and fostering global collaboration鈥攁ligns seamlessly with the retreat鈥檚 mission of advocating for minority Muslim communities.

鈥淛usuf Kalla鈥檚 dual roles as a statesman and educator position him uniquely to offer both practical solutions and a visionary outlook on the challenges faced by Muslim minorities,鈥 said Chaider S. Bamualim, PhD, 蜜桃视频鈥檚 University Secretary.

Addressing a Global Crisis

The retreat comes at a critical juncture for many Muslim minority communities, which continue to face systemic challenges ranging from restricted civil liberties to acts of violence. The organizers hope that the outcome will bolster international support for these communities, leading to tangible policy shifts and collaborative initiatives between Muslim-majority and minority nations.

Looking Ahead

As the retreat unfolds behind closed doors, the world watches with anticipation. The results are expected to influence future global strategies for protecting minority rights, fostering inclusivity, and promoting peace across diverse societies.   For Kalla and the other attendees, this retreat represents not just a meeting of minds, but a call to action鈥攁 reminder that justice and equality know no borders.
