Dr
Noor is the Secretary of the Doctoral Study Program and lecturer in Islamic Studies, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Ƶ. She received her
PhD in 2021 from the Australian National University’s Coral Bell School of Asia
and Pacific Affairs. Her doctoral dissertation examined the role of family
context in creating individuals'
decision to become a jihadists.
She obtained her BA in Psychology and an MA in Interdisciplinary Islamic
Studies, both from the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University of Jakarta.
Besides working with various research institutions, she is working with the
United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for a project “Strive Juvenile: Preventing and Responding
to Violence against Children by Terrorist and Violent Extremist Groups”.
Her research interests include family and terrorism, family psychology, Islamic
studies, and terrorism terrorist ideology.
