Call for Papers 2025: FEB 蜜桃视频 Invites Researchers to Explore Muslim World Economy & Sustainability in OIC Countries

Background  

The Faculty of Economics and Business at 蜜桃视频 (FEB 蜜桃视频) invites academics, researchers, and practitioners to participate in its 2025 Call for Papers under the theme 鈥淢uslim World Economy and Business: Economic Resilience and Sustainable Development in OIC Countries鈥. This initiative aims to foster innovative discussions on economic challenges and opportunities within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states.

Key Themes and Topics 

Submissions may address two core themes: Economic Resilience and Sustainable Development in OIC Countries  

Topic 1. Trade, Energy, Food Security, and Agricultural Sustainability in OIC Countries

     鈥    * Challenges and opportunities in intra-OIC trade.

     鈥    * 鈦燭rump effects on Investment and trade in OIC

     鈥    * Impact of regional trade agreements on economic growth in the Muslim world.

     鈥    * Industrial diversification and the role of SMEs in OIC economies.

     鈥    * Impact of education reforms on economic growth in OIC countries.

     鈥    Renewable Energy Development and conservation in OIC countries

     鈥    Affordable and reliable energy for all populations of OIC

     鈥    Impacts of climate change on agricultural production and food security

     鈥    Water resources management and irrigation practices in OIC countries

     鈥    Promoting food waste reduction initiatives among consumers and businesses in OIC countries

     鈥    Promoting agroforestry practices to improve livelihoods and environmental sustainability

     鈥    Intra-OIC food trade and cooperation  

Topic 2: The Role of Islamic and Social Finance in Promoting Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction in OIC Countries

     鈥    * Development of Islamic fintech ecosystems.

     鈥    * Role of e-commerce in promoting halal-certified products.

     鈥    * 鈦營slamic finance for trade facilitation

     鈥    Role of Islamic finance in supporting sustainable agriculture projects

     鈥    Developing Sharia-compliant investment products for green financing

     鈥    The Role of Islamic finance in Enhancing Human Capital in OIC Countries

     鈥    Analyzing the reach and effectiveness of Islamic microfinance institutions in OIC countries

     鈥    Exploring innovative approaches to Zakat distribution to reach the most vulnerable

     鈥    Exploring the role of Islamic finance in funding social enterprises that address social and economic challenges

     鈥    Developing targeted Zakat programs to address specific poverty challenges

     鈥    Exploring opportunities for Islamic banks to engage in social responsibility initiatives 

Eligibility and Prizes

    鈼    Papers must be original, unpublished, and written in English (6,000鈥10,000 words) using APA style.

    鈼    Abstracts must not exceed 250 words.

    鈼    Total prize pool: IDR 42,500,000 for selected papers.

Key Dates

     March 7, 2025: Abstract submission deadline.

     April 18, 2025: Full paper submission deadline.

     May 1, 2025: Announcement of selected papers.

     May 7, 2025: Presentation Day.
