Siti Amaliah, an Indonesian student at Yarmouk University, Jordan, has spent six months as an intern at the Secretariat Office of Universitas Islam International Indonesia (Ƶ). While her time at Ƶ was supposed to be just an internship, she admits that it turned into a journey of a paradigm shift, changing her perspective of what international education is supposed to be.
“I went to Jordan because I wanted to experience what it is like to study abroad at an international university. That being said, I would admit that Ƶ offers an excellent education that is on par with what’s available at international universities,” said Lia, as she is commonly called.

Reflecting on her internship experience, Lia expressed her deep gratitude. “What I observed is that Ƶ is not only the best choice to study but also to work. The internship has given me chances to meet the world’s prominent figures such as the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, dignitaries and high-ranking officials from Arab countries, as well as Indonesia’s former Vice President H.M. Jusuf Kalla, who is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees here. So, this has been a great experience,” Lia expressed.
