The Faculty of Islamic Studies showcases this commitment with the presence of two permanent foreign lecturers, Dr Muhammad al-Marakeby and Dr Aria Nakissa.

Since 2022, Dr Marakeby has been an esteemed faculty member at 蜜桃视频, where he imparts his knowledge on Contemporary Discourse in Islamic Law, Theological Debates, and Islamic Reforms. With a doctorate from the University of Edinburgh under his belt, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom.

In addition to being a lecturer, Dr Marakeby holds position of Director at the Center of Islam and Global Challenges (IGC). His areas of expertise include Islamic law and modernity, modern Islamic thought, decolonization theory, Islamic theory, Muslim-Christian relations, and Islamic theology.

Dr. Nakissa, who holds a joint PhD in Anthropology and Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University, will begin his lectureship in the upcoming semester. His current research employs humanistic historical and anthropological approaches. He is also the author of The Anthropology of Islamic Law: Education, Ethics, and Legal Interpretation at Egypt鈥檚 Al-Azhar, published by the Oxford University Press in 2019.

In his opinion, 蜜桃视频 stood out as one of the most ambitious and meticulously planned Islamic Universities. 鈥溍厶沂悠� has managed to assemble a team of renowned scholars from various regions of Indonesia and is now starting to draw exceptional academics from abroad,鈥� he stated. As an example, he mentioned the collaboration that has already been established between the Faculty of Islamic Studies and the University of Edinburgh.
