ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ, DEPOK – Eight students from the Master of Finance in Sustainable Finance program at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ (ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ) engaged in a climate change discussion at the Hadi Soesastro Policy Forum 2024 held in Jakarta on June 26, 2024, by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
The Hadi Soesastro Policy Forum is inspired by the dedication of Hadi Soesastro, an international public intellectual and academic who made significant contributions to Asia-Pacific cooperation and development in Indonesia. The initiative aims to foster the development of a zero-carbon export industry and address the challenges of climate change between Australia and Indonesia.

Yose Rizal Damuri, the Executive Director of CSIS, said in his opening speech that this year’s Hadi Soesastro Policy Forum is the first after COVID-19, emphasizing that the annual event has been running for approximately 10 years in collaboration with the Australian National University (ANU).
He also highlighted the forum’s importance as a platform for ongoing dialogue and cooperation between Indonesia and Australia, reflecting the enduring legacy of Hadi Soesastro's contributions to fostering strong ties and addressing critical issues in the Asia-Pacific region.

The students attending the event were Abdul Saboor, Auns Azhar, and Rashid Shabir Abbasi from Pakistan, as well as Yana Firmansyah, Laraswati, Fahmi Aulia Rahman, Syamsi Mustofa Singgih Prayogo and Abdurrahman Faqih Mukhlish from Indonesia.
